We're looking for a Senior Physical Security Operations Manager to drive global security programming across multiple countries, time zones, and complex third-party vendor workforces. In this critical role, you'll take a hands-on approach to shape and implement security policies, manage our uniformed security officers and emergency response team members, manage event security strategy, handle budgets, conduct facility risk assessments, and lead training initiatives for Robinhood’s global Physical Security Operations team. You'll play a key part in helping Robinhood prevent, respond to, and recover from security incidents—protecting both our people and our spaces. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Physical Security. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 5 days per week. What you’ll do
- Manage daily operations for an expanding international and domestic contracted physical security officer and emergency response force
- Draft, review, and put into effect policies for the safety and protection of our global operations
- Develop, implement, and be responsible for formal training programs for security officer roles including, standard operating procedures, incident response protocols, communication plans, etc.
- Work closely with team members across different areas to set up security protocols for domestic and international office expansions
- Display unwavering dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards, demonstrating a track record in managing highly confidential and sensitive information
- Develop and implement an event security program for large international marketing events/product launches and also manage internal employee events. Develop event security plan frameworks alongside key partners.
- Be responsible for facility risk assessments and propose key risk-management actions
- Coordinate efforts with cross-functional partners on projects including the response to security concerns
- Participate as a key member of the Crisis Management Program supporting incident response plans, emergency action plans, and more
- Deliver core security solutions, alternatives and recommendations in support of Executives
What you bring
- Demonstrated experience and success in a corporate security operations leadership role
- Demonstrated experience and success leading and developing security operations teams globally
- 7+ years of vendor management experience
- Experience planning, leading and delivering advanced global protective strategies
- Experience with corporate security systems and operations
- Proven results leading security program automation and implementation
- Ability to travel between offices regionally and globally
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working autonomously, and navigate ambiguity with ease
- Experience building and scaling operations in a high-growth, rapidly adapting environment
- Experience managing, coaching, and retaining talent
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and emotional intelligence
- Experience in change management, administration, and vendor management

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits. Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process. Base Pay Range: Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC) $166,000 — $195,000 USD Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL) $146,000 — $172,000 USD Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL) $129,000 — $152,000 USD Click here to learn more about our Total Rewards, which vary by region and entity.
